Kim has 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry. She began her career at age 17 working for QBE Insurance during the school holidays. The day after completing her VCE, she joined QBE full time.
After 3 years – and gaining a good understanding of the complexities of underwriting – Alan Wilson offered her the opportunity to join AWIB. 21 years later, Kim hasn’t looked back.
Kim holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking), is certified as a ANZIIF Senior Associate CIP, QPIB and in 2005 won the Regional Insurance Brokers Association Norm Dyer Award of Excellence. She has also been a judge of the Fire Protection Industry Awards from 2016 – 2018. Prior to the sale of the business to PSC Insurance, Kim was an Executive Director & Board Member of AWIB from 2019 – 2022.
She is one of the creators of AWIB’s Fire Protection Industry Insurance product of which she is justifiably proud.
In 2021, Kim was successful in being selected for the Aspire Women Leaders program where she is attending the University of NSW to complete a Certificate in Executive Management and Development (CEMD).
Outside of her role at AWIB, Kim is the President of Gippsland Women in Business and is a Non-Executive Director of Narkoojee Winery.
